A Tailwind Story : Est. 2004

In very early 2008, James Pearce our Customer Services Director and myself spotted an opportunity.
We had been working together for a number of years and had between us more than 25 years in sales and marketing. We had learned in that time, how to take a marketing key message and make it engaging for the client. We had learned that to be successful, you have to engage with your client and not simply bombard them with key messages disguised as information.
Video was really just beginning to be used by companies on their internet sites and a lot of it was just feature and key message dumping. We felt that an opportunity was being missed and that a quality crafted piece could be produced at a reasonable price, giving a good return on the investment for the client.

Tailwind was born.

We quickly established a beachhead with two of the best pharmaceutical companies in the world; Merck, Roche. We were lucky enough to begin working with Tesco on staff engagement films – producing some of their key flagship pieces.
We quickly realised that we need some talent on the creative side of things and were fortunate to have Steven Mayatt (now our Creative Director) and his team join us in 2010.
Steven has led our creative output since then and has worked with some of the biggest companies in the country, producing superbly engaging pieces for Arcadia, Philips, Tesco, and most recently Dixons Carphone.

I am very proud of what we have achieved and the feedback from clients says it all. We here at Tailwind Media, look forward to working with you to help you engage with your clients too.
